| Big Chance Good Causes join forces with the Merseyside Fire Service |
| Many people will remember the tragic house fire last April which cost the lives of Mark Wylde and his six year old son James. Whilst Gemma Wylde and her daughter Savanagh survived the fire, they not only lost Mark and James but also their home and all of their furniture and personal possessions. |

As part of Merseyside Fire Services commitment to support the victims of fire, the 'After the Fire' Care Service assisted the family in overcoming the stress and trauma associated with this fire, and helping Gemma and Savanagh to return to as normal a day to day life as is possible.
Julie Castley, from the Community Fire Safety Department of Merseyside Fire Service approached BCGC to see if we would be prepared to accept an application to raise the funds necessary to provide basic furnishings and equipment for the family. Julie was delighted when we agreed to accept the appeal. |
| BCGC managed to raise £3660.40 for the Wylde Family who live on the Wirral, providing the necessary funds to furnish thier new home with a fridge, cooker, pots and pans etc. |

| Jim Baxter, Head of Appeals at BCGC said 'We are pleased to be able to help this family. BCGC is all about helping local people, and this is a case of real need. We assigned the Big Chance Lottery terminals on the Wirral to raise funds for the family so that the local people were able to give somthing towards the appeal helping a local family.
