2007 sees Big Chance continuing to support Rainbows Children’s Hospice (East Midlands) and Megan Baker House (West Midlands). In Greater Manchester we will be donating funds to St Ann’s Hospice, which provides palliative care throughout the area.
In addition we will continue to accept applications from individuals, community groups and other charities.
In 2006 we have donated well over £30,000 to Rainbows Children’s Hospice, the children’s hospice for the East Midlands
Megan Baker House a West Midlands charity providing exceptional treatment for children with Cerebral Palsy, has received donations from Big Chance totalling over £11,000.
Recent individual applications have included an 11-year Merseyside girl suffering from Spastic Diplegia receiving funds to provide a special laptop computer to help her acquire the skills she will need when she starts her secondary education.
On the Wirral, funds have been granted towards the provision of home computers for children with various problems and a further Lycra Suit for a young man suffering from Cerebral Palsy.
In Manchester, a grant of £1500 has been made to Barlow Moor Community Association to fund a Community Crèche to provide a period of respite for parents with young children. |
