Jim Baxter, Head of Appeals at BCGC, said 'Our aim is to help local people and I am pleased that we have been able to make over 400 donations to a wide range of deserving causes within our operational areas of Merseyside, Greater Manchester, the West Midlands and the North East.
In announcing this landmark, Jim said ' None of this would have been posssible without the support and enthusiasm of those retail shops which have a Big Chance Lottery terminal, and of course the regular players, who support a local lottery helping local people in their region. The amount of money which can be raised, and therefore the number of people we can help, is totally dependant on the numberof tickets sold each week, and whilst people play the lottery to win cash for themselves, by playing Big Chance Lottery there is another group of winners every week, those local worthy causes which we can also help'.

Big Chance Lottery uses the same numbers as those drawn for the main UK National Lottery, and cutomers can check their tickets against the televised draws every Wednesday and Saturday.
